Even if you didn't walk before
neither have you thought of
winning any race
You don't have the courage
and strength to cover a mile
Your bones and muscles are feeble
Pain is also
under your feet
wear a smile and run

Would you cease to walk
If the road
is not adorned
expecting comfort
is not the trait of winners
The road seems quite ornated
to the spectators
but it has always been
rock-strewn for the runners

No one gets toughness
without being sedulous
It has never ever
happened by chance
Strength is not
an innate feature
but a reward
bestowed upon you
for your stance
